When you travel alone you tend to have a lot of time to walk around and just check things out. I can’t even remember how many churches I stopped into on my first full day in Bologna. At least ten.
One morning as I was out wandering through the grandiose Piazza Maggiore I happened to look up and did a double take when I noticed a couple of guys on top of a building across the street. Having a fear of heights I marveled at them working up there!
