Thank you to all my readers who posted a comment during the last week. I appreciate each and every one of you and that you took the time to leave me a message. A copy of In Late Winter We Ate Pears is going to Jill and I can only hope that we’ll hear back from her and she fills us in on the recipes that she tries. One of my favorites is perfect for the upcoming cooler weather-Zuppa Valdostana– a hearty combo of broth, savoy cabbage, and onions topped with bread and melted fontina cheese.
In case you’re wondering about the photo here, I took it on Arezzo’s main street-Corso Italia– in front of the bakery that the authors of this cookbook named their osteria after.
