Laundry Day In The Garfagnana

During our one perfect day in the mountains we had some time to amble around the farm while we were waiting for the pecorino to do its thing. We discovered a little stone amphitheater, centuries old chestnut trees and chickens, horses, sheep and goats wandering around. There were old stone buildings in various states of disrepair and geraniums potted in old pots and troughs. As I walked around the back of the house, there was the laundry, blowing in the wind.
