Yes, I am growing tomatoes and they’re looking good, but these are not from my garden. I would like to dedicate this post to my good friend L. who not only grew these gorgeous specimens (and graciously handed me a big bagful), but along with her husband cooked a fabulous Italian dinner for us. Since L.’s garden was overgrown with these lovely cherry tomatoes we had them in two different courses and we were thrilled!
Cherry Tomatoes with Burrata Cheese, Basil and Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Skewers of Lamb served with Eggplant (marinated with olive oil, peppers, garlic, capers and anchovy)
Homemade Semolina Pasta tossed with Cherry Tomatoes in Habanero Spiced Oil
Italian Meatloaf (or better said, a delicious large meatball)
Panacotta with Saffron, Lemon and Blueberries
A big “grazie” to L & D for the incredible meal and also for the Sangiovese, Barolo and last, but not least, the Brunello. We’ll be back!
