The Great Northwest

city view 2
And what’s a trip to the Seattle area without a ferry ride? There’s no better way to really see a city than from the water. You get a perspective of the city as a whole that you just can’t get from walking around town. Years ago we took a harbor cruise and totally enjoyed it, but this time we wanted to jump on a ferry, enjoy a picnic lunch and take in the sights. There’s no mistaking that this skyline is indeed Seattle with the Space Needle rising up on the northern side of the city.

What’s not always as easy to see is the spectacular Mt. Rainier looming off in the distance. There are many days when you can’t even see the mountain from the city, but on a clear, sunny day, there it is in all it’s glory standing guard over this gorgeous landscape. Until next time, thanks Seattle for being a breath of fresh air and at every turn offering fabulous food-markets, restaurants, take out-you have it all!

  2. Ah you made it to Bainbridge–a lovely place, I hope you strolled around. It’s my home, so maybe I’m a little biased, but you can’t beat those views from the ferry!
